First, thanks for the excellent "WiFi with WEP and Even WPA on Debian" page.

The recent changes to the wpa_supplicant DEB are addressed on the madwifi wiki here:

The advice at the bottom about editing the /etc/network/interfaces file worked
for me, and seems likely to work regardless of the driver (although I do use
madwifi and can't say for sure).
